Have you ever wanted to try the sport of Biathlon – now is your chance!
The nonprofit McCall Nordic and Biathlon Ski Club presents the Bring Back Biathlon event, an annual fundraiser for the Biathlon program! Learn about Biathlon and receive instruction from coaches and team members, give it a try and then do a real Biathlon race! Proceeds from this event support the program and help purchase ammo, rifles, target covers, mats and more.
Race details: The race will include three laps on Jug Mountain groomed trails for a total ski (all three laps combined) of a 4-5K. You will shoot twice – in between each lap – and are allowed five shots for five targets. The penalty for missed shots is to ski laps on the small penalty loop.

Time: Practice: 10 am – 2 pm Race: 2:30 pm
Cost: $25 for practice, $25 for race, $45 for both

Please note: If you register for practice only ahead of time but you add on the race the day of the event, there will not be a discount. Registration closes Friday, March 6, 2020 @ 5 pm

What is Biathlon? The Biathlon is a winter sport that combines cross-country skiing and rifle shooting. It is treated as a race where the contestant with the shortest total time wins. Depending on the competition, missed shots result in extra distance or time being added to the contestant’s total.
