McCall is a resort town on the western edge of Valley County, Idaho. Named after its founder, Tom McCall, it is situated on the southern shore of Payette Lake, near the center of the Payette National Forest. Originally a logging community whose last sawmill closed in 1977. The resort town is known for its extended winters, all-season tourist destination spot and the annual Winter Carnival, which started in 1923-24, and to this day continues to bring between hundreds to thousands of tourists visiting the festivities. McCall offers plenty of amenities and year round outdoor activities. From downtown, you can walk to Payette Lake, grocery stores, shopping, spas, restaurants, breweries and more!
